Senior IT Security Risk Compliance Analyst

What Will You Do At Confluence?
As a member of the Confluence Risk Management team, the Senior IT Security Risk Compliance Analyst provides leadership, guidance, recommendations, processes and reporting regarding risk, security and policy compliance. 

  • Plan, implement, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems, network, databases, and web-based security.
  • Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of information security, including access management, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, infrastructure, regulatory compliance, monitoring, auditing and alerting/reporting for both internal and third-party hosted solutions.
  • Report, investigate and resolve security incidents, including alerts from information security tools.
  • Analyze business needs, stay current with security trends/methods/techniques and oversee security architecture, administration and policy planning to preemptively eliminate the possibility of security breaches.
  • Educate and communicate security requirements and procedures to all users and new employees.
  • Oversee internal or external systems security (i.e. cloud services).
  • Engage in client security concerns.
  • Manage completion of internal and external policy, security, and compliance questionnaires.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and privacy laws.
  • Manage IT and Security-related policies and procedures, ensuring organizational understanding and adherence.
  • Actively participate as a member of the Confluence Risk Management team, conducting assessments, reviews, and gap remediation.
  • Liaise with the Confluence Legal department as well as external security consultants and vendors.  
  • Manage annual reporting activities concerning Confluence-hosted services. 
  • Lead departmental IT Policy & Risk Assessment process improvement projects.  
  • Develop monthly metric/KPI reports.  

What Qualifications and Skills Are We Looking For?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.  
  • Six+ years’ experience in risk management and information security disciplines with emphasis on risk mitigation and security processes.
  • International business and financial/investment services industry experience preferred. 
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to flex communication styles based on the audience, including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Thorough understanding and demonstrated working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and information security trends. 
  • Critical thinker with a demonstrated knack for understanding and addressing needs and issues across all levels of the enterprise.
  • Robust understanding of the impact of risk, compliance and information security topics on business processes, technology infrastructure and software development.
  • Able to negotiate and justify compromises between risk, business, and technology needs.
  • Understanding of the technology landscape, including on-prem, off-site and hosted infrastructure/solutions.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a wide audience, from technical staff to management, clients and coworkers.
  • Team management skills preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, strong attention to detail, self-motivated willingness to take initiative and ownership.
  • Collaborative working style that values team success over personal accomplishments.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a high-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global, multicultural environment where diplomacy, professionalism and a passion for diversity are paramount.
